Terraform Enterprise @DBAG: Scaling DevSecOps at Deutsche Börse: Centralized Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform Enterprise
At Deutsche Börse, we’ve built a centralized DevSecOps platform with Terraform Enterprise as the single control point for all cloud provisioning. Operating in a highly regulated environment, we use hardened, security-vetted Terraform modules and enforce over 70 Sentinel policies to ensure every deployment complies with BaFin, CSSF, and ISO 27000 standards. Terraform Enterprise is tightly integrated with our version control system to trigger infrastructure workflows directly from Git, enabling us to maintain both velocity and governance. I’ll walk through our implementation of drift detection, our strategy for scaling across teams, and how we’re building a sustainable module and policy framework to support a growing multi-cloud landscape.
Sprecher: Giancarlo Longobardi I Deutsche Börse
In this session, we explore how IBM extends the power of Terraform by enriching runs with integrated configuration management (Ansible), real-time performance optimization (Turbonomic), cost governance (Cloudability) and many more such features. This unified workflow turns infrastructure provisioning into an end-to-end automation pipeline, enabling enterprises to achieve consistency, efficiency, and scalability across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Two real-world makeovers, one control plane. We operate in a heterogeneous, multi‑cloud infrastructure setup and moved from a manually managed environment to automated infrastructure on HCP Terraform using modular code, remote state, and CI/VCS integration. Then, we migrated app deployments from a monorepo to team‑owned workspaces for clearer ownership and faster releases. We'll share the architecture, migration steps, and experience we made from navigating custom cloud setups.
