The workshop is a combination of lecture slides and hands-on Instruqt labs that introduce users to advanced Nomad OSS features and to Nomad Enterprise. Students participating in this workshop should first have completed the Introduction to Nomad Workshop, which covers introductory Nomad OSS features.
This workshop covers advanced Nomad concepts such as securing Nomad clusters with ACLs, controlling job placement, updating jobs, retrieving secrets from Vault, and running stateful workloads with Nomad host volumes. It also covers Nomad Enterprise platform and governance/policy features.
What you will need:
- A laptop that is wi-fi capable
- Practical experience with command-line tools and infrastructure as code is helpful
